These are three recent paintings. I'm trying to paint more often these next few weeks, so I have enough stock for the Hallmarket show on Oct 2nd.
These paintings are of jonquils and surprise lilies, all of which were blooming in my yard at one point. Of course jonquils are not there now - I worked from photos that I took this spring.

I'm back to painting again. It's been kind of a long time. These are some camillias. The problem with camillias is that they look so much like roses. It's kind of hard to get the chunky brushwork I like to articulate the petals. But even so, I think they are not to bad
