I'm back to painting again. It's been kind of a long time. These are some camillias. The problem with camillias is that they look so much like roses. It's kind of hard to get the chunky brushwork I like to articulate the petals. But even so, I think they are not to bad

OK these are not paintings. They are trading cards I did for the Hallmarker ATC which I occasionally participate in. http://kcatc.blogspot.com/ The photos though are images I use in my metal leaf drawings. So they are a sort of sketches for potential larger works.

I've been doing more doodles and designs lately. But here are a couple of painting. Tornadoes. A bit of a change of pace. It offers more opportunity to work with color, less on structure. Just a trade off.
